Students started off this embroidery workshop with a tour of Queens Botanical Garden’s Rose Garden (because yes, roses re-bloom in September!) The class then moved indoors to learn the basic stitches of embroidery and how to apply to them to a customizable rose pattern.
The vibrant colors of the rose garden gave thread color inspiration to students to use on their embroidered rose pieces.
This weeknight 'Cocktail + Craft' workshop was accompanied by autumnal drinks. There was wine and cider from local Queens breweries available for students to enjoy!
